I have been playing with the Nailed It Bundle from Stampin’ Up’s 2017 Occasions catalog. I like the variety of sentiments included with this stamp set, but since my focus is on birthdays in January, I chose a sentiment from the Designer Tee stamp set in the Sale-A-Bration brochure.
I was pretty impressed with how that screwdriver turned out, so I created a quick video to show you how it was done.
Wasn’t that easy? I know that masculine cards can be a struggle sometimes, at least for me. With the Nailed It bundle I can see that I’ll be able to come up with super cute guy cards for any occasion. Father’s Day will be a breeze this year 🙂

The new Strength & Prayers stamp set arrived at my house yesterday! I finally got in my studio around 10:00 last night to play with my new toys. That was just enough time to design and create a single card with this set, but I am planning on a little more studio time this evening and will share my creations with you on Facebook. Make sure you “like” my page here so you can see what I come up with!
Strength & Prayers Stamp Set
I mixed the old with the new on my color combo and used Sweet Sugarplum and Perfect Plum. There’s a dainty feel to this card from the white embossed dove and the pearl accents, and I just love it. Simple yet elegant.
Remember, I will be giving away the Strength & Prayers stamp set this month. For every $25 you spend in product by Friday, June 24, your name will be entered once into the drawing. So if you spend $25 your name is entered once, but if you spend $50 your name is entered twice, etc. Contact me if you’d like to place an order, or simply click on the ‘Shop Now’ tab at the top of this page.
Be sure to head over to our Facebook page tonight to see what other projects I come up with using this beautiful stamp set. And don’t forget…order by Friday for a chance to win!
Made from scratch cards are the best! Occasionally I recreate card designs that I have seen on Pinterest or from someone else. But I am most satisfied when the creations are all my own. After all, I am created to create, right?
Sometimes my cards have to be slow cooked. It might take several days to really finish it because I keep thinking of a different color to try or something to add or do differently. Then other days I put a card together quickly with very little forethought and when its done I can’t stop looking at it! Those are my microwave cards and that’s what kind of made from scratch card I have for you today.
I have been working everyday to prepare for our Bible Journal Gathering next Tuesday and have not had much time to stamp. Today, however, I took time to get some stamps inky for a card. I used the Awesomely Artistic and A Dozen Thoughts stamp sets for this card. I have neglected So Safron lately and I love how it looks with this Mossy Meadow card base. The lighter green color is Pear Pizzazz.
Simple card designs like this one are pleasing to look at and come together quickly. You do not have to fill every space of the card with details. And, although layers can be fun, not many are needed for a simple elegant card.
Tell me what you think. Do you prefer to create cards that are slow cooked or microwaved? Or maybe you just like to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) cards that others have made? I’d love to hear what the creative process looks like for you.
