Sneakers and Speakers are two of my 18 year old’s favorite things! He loves shopping for shoes and speakers/headphones of any kind. I sort of share this shoe obsession with him. I probably have way too many in my closet. Maybe my love of cute shoes is one of the reasons I am enjoying this Epic Celebrations stamp set so much. With it, I can create cute shoes in any color I want!
On today’s card I used my son’s two favorite things and two of my favorite colors, Night of Navy and Lemon Lime Twist. I love them both, and together they really produce a WOW effect! I chose to fussy cut the shoes for this card so I could use Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop them up, but I think the card would still be epic if you didn’t have time for that extra detail.
The headphones in the background were stamped with VersaMark ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. Since I don’t have a Lemon Lime Twist marker, I used a Blender Pen and my ink pad to color those wonderful green shoes.
If you don’t have Blender Pens (102845), you really need to buy some. They allow you to color with any ink pad you have. They also are wonderful to use with the Watercolor Pencils (141709). (Check out these pink shoes colored with Watercolor Pencils.) Blender Pens are $12 and you get 3 dual tipped pens, so they last a really long time.
The new Occasions Catalog also offers variety packs of Classic Stampin’ Spots. These are cute little ink pads that allow you to expand your ink pad color palette without the expense of full size pads. There are two of these variety packs available for $9 each.

Love the navy/lemon lime twist colored card. CASing this to share at my next card buffet. Thank you for sharing!
