12Stamping friends are THE best! It’s true! I began stamping when I lived in Missouri. My best friend, Shelly, had a neighbor who got into Stampin’ Up. We already spent a lot of time together, so we started stamping together too. The hardest part of moving from Missouri was leaving my friend Shelly!
We moved to Tennessee and my long time BFF from Indiana moved next door to us. We spent so many late nights in my craft room stamping! My family would go to bed and Debbie and I would go to work creating all kinds of stuff. It was wonderful!
I left Tennessee and moved to Arkansas. God has placed MANY stamping friends in my life here in Arkansas. I am so blessed! My friend Debbie now lives in Alabama. We still stamp together virtually, through video calls in our studios. Last weekend we actually got to stamp in person. That’s when I took this photo.
I love this picture because my dear friend has saved SO MANY cards that I have sent her through the years. Not all of these cards are from me, but many are. It is such a sweet memory board and I love that she has it displayed where she can see it all the time!
Here are the three things I love best about stamping with my friends…
1. Inspiration. When we stamp together we are inspired. Maybe your friend will use a different technique that you want to try, or a new color combination that you had never thought of. We get ideas from each other.
2. Laughter. You know how it is when friends get together. Stamping together isn’t any different. It is great to have someone to share silly mistakes with and to laugh with.
3. Problem solving. Do you ever get stuck when you’re creating? Or maybe you need to fix a mistake and aren’t sure how to best do it? Our stamping friends help us out with their own creative solutions. Sometimes just talking to someone else about it helps to clarify the answer. This is probably my favorite benefit of stamping with friends.
I hope you have friends who like to stamp. If you don’t, please let me introduce you to some! We get together regularly for classes. We host virtual classes too, so anyone can participate. If you’d like to learn more, contact me and I will be glad to give you more information. Find yourself a friend who stamps, because stamping friends are the best!
