The bird punch saved me a lot of time last week. It was the end of a rather hectic and stressful day. I was ready to call it done… and then I read my email. I was reminded that I had a few hours left to participate in a stamping challenge that required me to make a project featuring a bird image. I could have just gone to sleep, but I am far too competitive to pass up a challenge. So, instead, I headed to my studio to see what I could come up with….quick.
Bird Punch Silhouette Card
I don’t even think I sat down to make this card. I have been “drawn” to the silhouette bird images that seem to be everywhere. After considering some bird options, I decided to mimic that technique. The bird punch and some basic black cardstock made this a VERY simple project. The hardest part was the hand drawn branch….and that really was not hard at all. I chose to make a 4 X 4 card, and I love how it turned out. I will have to create a custom envelope for this, but with my handy envelope punch board that will be a simple task. Wouldn’t a set of these be a sweet gift for a friend or coworker at Christmas?
So why not take this challenge with me?! All you have to do is create a project with a bird image. It can be any kind of project you want (or need) to make. The bird image can be stamped, punched, or even found own some Designer Series Paper. Have fun with it and see if you can come up with as easy a card as I did.
