November is my season of gratitude. This year I set a goal to mail 30 cards during November. I plan to share random encouragement and thanksgiving with others all month long. (There may be a sprinkling of birthday cards sent as well.) I considered a card a day, but let’s face it, that is NOT happening. So, if I mail 30 cards on the 30th, I can still succeed in reaching my goal. However, I am not putting it off like that. I am doing a bulk mailing each week. This exercise has taught me a few things and I wanted to share them with you.
- I have too many cards in my card stash. I’m not saying it is bad to have cards on hand, but I have way too many!
- I need to be more intentional and diligent about sharing encouragement and gratitude year round.
- In 2019 I will focus on inking EVERY single stamp I buy. No more uninked stamps in my stash! I want to use my resources wisely, not waste them. So every stamp will be inked.
- In our digital age, people still LOVE to receive a handmade card in the mail. It makes them feel special.
- This is an easy way for me to share God’s love with others.
I hope that you will consider joining me in my gratitude challenge for this month. I know, the month is half over, but you still have plenty of time to share words of encouragement and thanksgiving with others. And if you are like me, and you have too many cards in your stash, then make a point to use them! We put too much into our card creations to let them sit in a box or on a shelf somewhere. Put them in the mail and send a smile to someone.
Don’t know if I qualify but since I know what the prize is I would love to win!
I love this idea <3 And really thought I'd missed an opportunity to do this, but your post made me realize I can start now. It doesn't have to be daily, just intentional!
