Are you being thankful? We talked yesterday about my season of gratitude. As I tried to create that post my website crashed. It took most of the day to repair it yesterday (and trust me, I had no idea what I was doing!) At the end of the day though, my website was back to normal, mostly.
This has reminded me that I take this technology for granted. Each day I assume that I will be able to communicate with you on my website, or my Facebook page, or through email or text. Then along come days like yesterday, with all of its frustration and anxiety and tears, and I am reminded to be thankful for the ability to share my thoughts and creations with you so easily each day. Not only has God blessed me with the tools I need, but He has also blessed me with half a brain to put those tools to use! Wow.
It is in this spirit of thankfulness that I share today’s card with you. I made it last month, but it is perfect for our topic today and for this season we are in.
Being Thankful
Let’s try really hard to be mindful of the blessings that God provides for us each and every day. I don’t want to wait until my AC goes out to be thankful for having it in the hot days of summer, nor do I want to miss opportunities to share a kind word. I don’t want to be focused on things that I don’t have and miss the numerous blessings that I am given each and every day. Instead, I want to appreciate each day and the opportunities they bring. This is what my season of gratitude in November is about… being thankful and letting others know that I am. If you haven’t yet decided to join me, I hope this post convinced you to do so. Send a card, make a call. Let someone know that you love and appreciate them.
