Happy Business Women’s Day! Since I was a little girl all I ever wanted to be was a mom. I didn’t have dreams of climbing any corporate ladders, or becoming a top seller in a company or anything like that. I did love my career as a Physical Therapist and know that it was part of God’s plan for my life. But I was more than happy to “retire” from that in 1996 and just be a mom.
Fast forward to 2009 when child #1 graduated high school and moved to college. This was the beginning of my Stampin’ Up! business. Over the past 6 years I have experienced the joy of seeing my children succeed and attend college, the emptiness of an “empty nest”, and the roller coaster ride of foster parenting. Through all of these major life transitions I have enjoyed the opportunity to love what I do and share what I love through Stampin’ Up! I have made friends that I would never have even known if not for my Stampin’ Up! business. I have learned about things that I never thought a paper crafter would need to know, like retargeting pixels and responsive blog themes. I have grown in so many ways and even though most days I don’t think of myself as a business women, I do run a business so I guess the term fits.
Stampin’ Up! has certainly been a blessing in my life. My hope and prayer has always been that others would be blessed through my business too. So, on this Business Women’s Day, I want to say “Thank you!” to all my customers and my friends who support and encourage me on this adventure. You all make what I do a joy and not a chore.
I would also love to share my experience in this business with others who want to make creativity their business too. If you have ever thought about becoming a demonstrator I would love to answer your questions. Please contact me for more information. I would love to hear from you!
