Since its Memorial Day weekend, I thought I would make a card using patriotic colors. In the home I grew up in, the flag was respected, along with those who fought to keep our country free. My parents taught us to not take that for granted. I have many friends and family members who have served in uniform and defended our freedoms and our borders. How grateful I am for their dedication to our nation and for the sacrifices they have made.
Memorial Day Weekend
I don’t have a stamp that says “God Bless the USA” or I might have used it on this card. 🙂 Instead, I chose a sentiment from the Adventure Awaits stamp set, which does have a masculine flair to it. The sentiment itself is large and didn’t need much embellishment, so I kept it simple.
I hope that each of you have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend. I hope you get to relax with family and friends and that you exercise your freedom of religion by worshiping our Lord this weekend. Please acknowledge those you know who serve or have served our country. Thank them for their service and pray for protection for those who continue to serve and are unable to celebrate Memorial Day Weekend with their own families this year. We are so blessed to live in this country!
