This Party Pandas birthday box is such a fun project. Don’t you know the recipient of this sweet bear is going to smile? I love how it looks like he is barely able to stay grounded while holding on to those balloons! Here’s our project for today…
Party Pandas Birthday Box!
The additional balloons that I added to this image are from the Birthday Delivery stamp set. To stamp them “behind” the original balloon I simply created a mask of that balloon by stamping it on a post-it note and cutting it out. Then I was able to stick that mask on the balloon image before I stamped the extra balloons. I sometimes shy away from masking because of the time involved, however, sticky notes are great for making quick and easy masks for smaller images. Plus, I always have sticky notes ready to use. And don’t forget to save the masks that you create. They can be used for other projects too. I simply store them in the box with the stamp set so they are easy to access next time.
The box is just a simple gable box. I think with all the tools we have available to us for box making (box dies, gift box punch, etc) we sometimes overlook the tried and true box making method of cutting and scoring paper by hand. Try not to overlook it though, because it opens up so many box styles to us!
This ends our week of sharing these cute Party Pandas with you. I hope our samples have given you an idea of whether or not this stamp set is one you would like to add to your collection. Remember, it is a Sale-A-Bration set, so you can earn it free with a $50 purchase through March 31.
Next week we will be sharing another Sale-A-Bration stamp set. Be sure to check back to see which one it is!
