With the release of the Annual Catalog in May, I have had fun playing with the new Designer Series Papers. Many times I will purchase papers from the suites that I want to “try before I buy.” It gives me a chance to play with the color combinations and the images before I decide if I want to invest in the entire suite.
The Zoo Crew suite has such fun animal images and uses a very playful color palette. I purchased the paper so I could play around with it and I have not been disappointed. My favorite image from this suite is, of course, the knitting llama. In case you don’t already know, I am the fur-mom to three alpacas. They are similar to llamas, but considerably smaller. I love ALL things alpaca and llama related. Here was my first card with this paper.
Zoo Crew Llama
This card was easy to put together. I used the Countryside Corners dies to cut the image and then cut the next larger die from Basic Black cardstock. To get the very narrow border of Petal Pink around the llama image, I simply adhered a rectangle of cardstock behind the image and used my Paper Snips to trim it closely around the edge. Since it is all straight edges, this was pretty easy to do. I am so pleased that the Black White Gingham ribbon was included in the current annual catalog. It is my favorite. ❤️ The sentiment on this card came from the Lighting the Way stamp set.
