Today was Bad Poetry Day.  I didn’t realize it in time to celebrate properly, but we are going to celebrate nonetheless.  It’s a good thing they have a day dedicated to BAD poetry, because then anyone can be a poet…even me.  For today’s poem I decided to write a haiku.  Enjoy…

Card making is fun.

Sometimes fingers get inky.

Smudges ruin cards.

Of course, I really should illustrate the poem with an image, but I don’t want to make a bad card just for the illustration!  You’ll have to wait until the next “accident” happens in our studio and I may add the photo then, which will probably take place tomorrow.

In the mean time, I would LOVE to hear your attempts at celebrating Bad Poetry Day!  Please share your bad poetry samples in the comments.  It will be twice as nice if you write about my favorite hobby—STAMPING, but any bad poem will do!  If you want to write a haiku, remember 5 . 7 . 5 . That’s the syllable count for each line.  I hope that at least some of you will go for the rhyme though…in true poetry style.  One of you may be a poet and don’t know it. 🙂 . Its your turn now…go ahead…share your poem with me!
