When I heard you could make a berry basket without the die I knew I had to give it a try. I love these cute little baskets, but the Big Shot Die to create them is still on my wishlist. Creating this basket from scratch is really pretty simple and I love how it turned out. All you need is some 8 1/2 X 11″ cardstock, a paper trimmer with a scoring blade, a stapler and some strong adhesive—I used Stampin’ Up’s Fast Fuse. I also embellished mine with stamps and ink. Isn’t that adorable? I used flowers from the Botanicals For You stamp set to embellish it before I assembled the basket. This little basket is perfect for some Easter treats, but I have lots of ideas running through my head for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gifts and lots of other holiday fun. I am excited to make another one with a handle on it.
I was in a department store the other day and saw the cutest Easter grass in a package. It was made of paper….not the plastic stuff, but they wanted $9.99 for a small bag!
