Cheaper than therapy

Why do you craft?  To most of us, it is more than just a hobby.  Maybe you’ve heard it said that stamping is cheaper than therapy.  We say that jokingly, but there is some truth in the statement.  Check out this article from CNN that talks about the benefits of crafting.  The list of crafting benefits includes being a natural anti-depressant and helping to ward off the effects of aging on our brain.  Wow!  Did you realize that making a card could do that?

Created to Create

I believe that God created us to create.  He gave us natural abilities to use to honor him.  How perfect it is that our sweet Lord also gives us great enjoyment while doing it.  And if that weren’t enough, he also allows us be a blessing and encouragement to others by sharing what we create.

2020 can be a year full of stamped encouragement and stamped blessings for you.  I pray that you will find great joy in creating and that others will find joy in what you create.  Remember, it is never just a card!  When we share our creations with others, we share some of ourselves and some of the love that God has given to us.

We can take our crafting a step further by being intentional about praying for the recipients as we write in the cards and mail the envelopes.  Let your friends and family know that you aren’t just thinking of them, you are praying for them too.  What a blessing that will be to them!

So join me in creating and sending cards this year.  Invite someone along who might need a little “therapy” or a creative outlet.  Anyone can stamp, you do not have to be an artist to succeed at making a card!  Check out our upcoming classes on the events page to see when we will be getting together next!
