Feathered Flight is an Online Exclusive stamp set from Stampin’ Up. If you’re like me, and you struggle with creating masculine cards, then this set will be a great addition to your craft stash. Here’s a peak at the stamps included in this set.
Aren’t they gorgeous?! Because of the fine detail on the stamps, the images look amazing when stamped in a single color. Or you can use your favorite coloring tools and techniques to add realistic color. I have samples of both to share with you.
S.I.P. Sample (Stamps, Ink Paper)
This simple card is monochromatic. Other than white, Crumb Cake is the only color used on our card. With the beautiful details of this stamp set, it works perfectly for these simple, but elegant cards. Create a set, wrap them nicely and it will be a wonderful gift. Or just use it for a fast card when you’re in a hurry!
Step It Up…
We featured this card in our March newsletter. You can tell that it is basically the same card. We used a couple of Stampin’ Write Markers to color that beautiful green head and to add a darker color at the tips of the wings. This was super easy to do. Just ink with the Crumb Cake ink and then use the markers to color in the extra details before you stamp. We also added another cardstock layer and stamped our words in this darker color also (Early Espresso). Finally, we dressed up the card a little more by adding some ribbon and a linen thread bow. These materials are rustic enough to dress up the card without making it look too feminine.
