Are you sprinkling good will in the new year?  I have already shared with you that I have committed to sending/giving more cards this year than last.  Literally, I want to run out of cards so I have to make more!  Today I decided I was going to play with our Pigment Sprinkles.  They are similar to the Brusho Colours that were in the catalog last year, but Stampin’ Up! released their own version in the 2019-2020 annual catalog.  I have had them for months and never even opened them! *sigh* They did not disappoint, and I am so glad that I opened them today.  I created these fun cards…

Sprinkle Good Will In The New Year

For the first two cards I used the Small Bloom Punch from this year’s Sale-A-Bration.  I love how the flowers turned out.  This is an easy technique for the pigment sprinkles and you can use any punch or die cut to create whatever shape you want.  A little pigment sprinkle goes a long way, so I still have flowers to make a couple of other projects.

I intended to do the same punched technique with this piece.  The purple and yellow pigment sprinkles reminded me of violets, so I used them because that was my grandma’s favorite flower.  After I created the panel, however, it looked like confetti being thrown, so I modified my design and created this congratulations card instead.

Here are a few observations I have after working with the Pigment Sprinkles today…

  1. I like the colors for these sprinkles better than Brusho because they seem to match Stampin’ Up colors better.
  2. The packaging is superior to the Brusho.  I had to poke my own holes in the Brusho containers and then use tape to seal them after I used them.  The new sprinkles have a nice flip top that allows you to gently shake the pigment out, but then snaps closed for storage.
  3. As with the Brusho, a little goes a LONG way.  These will last a long time because a tiny amount of pigment creates a vibrant color.

I hope you will try out these Pigment Sprinkles for yourself.  And I hope that you will join me in sprinkling good will in the new year!
