Offering a birthday blessing seems only natural, and fortunately I know a lot of people with birthdays in February!  Today I made a card for one of my dearest friends who is celebrating her birthday.  She is a fellow stamper and so I wanted the card to be extra special.

birthday blessing
Basic black, basic gray, daffodil delight and whisper white.

Again, this card was in my card box ready to give.  (I am determined to use my stash of cards & supplies this year), but I needed to jazz it up a little.  I began by adding some rhinestones to one corner because we girls love our bling.  I also used the banner punch from the Sale-A-Bration brochure and created several banners to go across the top of the card.  After attaching them with snail adhesive, I decided it needed additional detail, so I sewed the banners on using my sewing machine and some bright yellow thread.  Actually, I think the best thing about this card is the sentiment from the Chalk Talk stamp set.  “I’m so grateful there’s you in the world” is exactly how I feel about this friend!  (I also really like the yellow, gray and black color combo.)

Do you have a favorite color combo right now?  If so, please leave it in the comment section.  I am always looking for fun and challenging color combos!  Have a blessed day!
