I am loving the new In Colors that were introduced last month in the Stampin’ Up! catalog. Seeing these new colors each year is one of the highlights of seeing a new catalog. For those who aren’t familiar with “In Colors,” these are 5 new colors that are released each year with the annual catalog. Each set of 5 colors is active for 2 years. The colors we are playing with today will be in the catalog until 2018. Don’t get me wrong, I am still mourning the loss of Blackberry Bliss, but Dapper Denim is growing on me and I am having fun playing with all of them. Here’s a little card I created to show them off…
Don’t they look good together? From top to bottom here are the colors used: Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, and Sweet Sugarplum. Since I am drawn to pinks and blues I am partial to Flirty Flamingo and Dapper Denim. After stamping the In Colors on Whisper White cardstock, I used the Heart Framelits to cut them into a heart and I cut a larger white heart to create the framed look. It is very dramatic against that black cardstock, and the black really “pops” with that Flirty Flamingo layer framing it. The “love” is stamped in Sweet Sugarplum ink.
