Welcome 2016!  Are you glad to see the end of the old year and the beginning of a brand new one?  I am always sad to see the Christmas decorations put away and to hear regular music on the radio instead of Christmas songs.  I am NOT sad to see school start back for the 5 extra boys eating living in my  house.  {Feeding 9 people three meals a day was getting a little old. 🙂 }  I am also NOT sad to see files from the old year packed away and brand new neat and tidy files put in their place.  I like brand new calendars that are waiting to be filled.  A new year is like an empty canvas and we are waiting expectantly to see what God will paint on it for us.  There is so much hope and possibility that comes with January!

#transformation

My husband was challenged this year to pick a word for the year instead of a verse.  I decided that I needed a word for the year too….and I chose transformation.  I am hoping to see God do some amazing work in my life this year.  But I don’t intend to sit back to watch what happens.  I am already working on transforming areas that I know need some work.  I plan on reading more in 2016.  I love to read, but lately have not done much of it.  I used to never start a book without finishing it.  In the last several years though,  I have started numerous books but not read to the end.  Not this year!  I also have some transformations planned for my business and my home.

I have created some items in my studio to welcome 2016 and keep my one word in front of me.  I’ll change it up as we progress through the year, but for now these are my reminders to allow God to transform me…
