Today is Inspire Your Heart With Art Day and I think we should celebrate!  I enjoy creating art that will make someone smile, or laugh or be encouraged.  But today is all about Inspiration!  How can we use our art to inspire our hearts?  Well, here are some thoughts that I had….

1.  Use Scripture When Possible

I can’t think of anything that inspires my heart more than Scripture.  The Word of God is powerful and speaks truth to us like nothing else can.  Whether we want to pass on comforting words in a difficult time or simply let someone know that they are in our thoughts, using Scripture will convey our message with beauty and great meaning.

2. Include Things That You Love

Beauty is inspirational, so be sure to use the beautiful things around you in your artwork.  Choose colors schemes that you love, or a theme that is dear to your heart.  That might include an animal that you are fond of, a sports team, or even your spouse and kids.  This is a great way to personalize art for someone if you are creating it as a gift.  If it is for your parents, by all means, use pictures of the grand kids!  If it is for a Bronco fan, make it navy and orange!  If it is for my son, definitely include a cute fox.  You get the idea.

3. Have Fun!

We have plenty of negativity in our world, certainly more than enough to go around.  In our art creations, let’s lighten the load.  Let’s do fun things that will bring joy and smiles.  Inspire good feelings and happy hearts with the things you create.

Now some people might think that artwork needs to be something to hang on the wall, but the handmade cards that we create are most certainly artwork too.  Use these tips in your card making to inspire your heart with art, and to inspire others also.  If you have found this information useful, please share it with others so they can be inspired too!
