Are you keeping your paper crafting resolutions for 2017?  As we begin this new month, it’s a good time to take a look at your goals and see where you are.  This year I resolved  to send a record number of birthday cards.  This, of course, has required me to create more cards as well, but that has been a good challenge too.

Even though we are only in March, I have already been reminded of some valuable information from this resolution.  First of all, everybody loves to get a birthday card in the mail.  I have sent to 5 year olds and 55 year olds. I received a video of the five year old opening the card I sent and pictures from an old high school friend who loved the card I made so much that she used it as decor in her home!

Secondly, giving something you made makes the recipient feel extra special, which is exactly what you want on their birthday!  Many friends have sent me notes of thanks for the handmade cards they received.  It has been a great experience!

And finally, this is exactly why I do what I do!  My love of paper crafting is mostly due to the fact that I want to make pretty things to give away.  If I hoard the cards I make no one is enjoying them, not even me.  When I give them away, it is a double blessing.
