May the 4th Be With You!  Did you know it was Star Wars day?  My family and I are huge Star Wars fans and so celebrating this day is something we look forward to.   This year, like most, we celebrated with a Star Wars Movie marathon.

I also try to create a Star Wars themed paper craft.  Last year I created a Darth Vader card.  In previous years I have created punch art characters like Yoda and R2D2.  It is challenging and I enjoy thinking outside the box to come up with ideas.  This year I created a Death Star card.

May the 4th Be With You! A Star Wars Themed Card!

The large circle was created from a circle cutter that I have had for many years.  None of my thinlits were large enough.  The smaller circle details were punched.   Aside from those tools, everything else was simply sponged using Basic Black ink on the Smoky Slate paper.

Now what do I do with my Star Wars day creations?  Maybe you are lucky enough to have a friend whose birthday is May the 4th, like I do.  Or maybe you just use it as a birthday card for someone who is a Star Wars fan any time of the year.  Either way, these Star Wars themed cards are unique and are sure to be appreciated by their recipient.
