Made from scratch cards are the best!  Occasionally I recreate card designs that I have seen on Pinterest or from someone else.  But I am most satisfied when the creations are all my own.  After all, I am created to create, right?

Sometimes my cards have to be slow cooked.  It might take several days to really finish it because I keep thinking of a different color to try or something to add or do differently. Then other days I put a card together quickly with very little forethought and when its done I can’t stop looking at it!  Those are my microwave cards and that’s what kind of made from scratch card I have for you today.

Made From Scratch

I have been working everyday to prepare for our Bible Journal Gathering next Tuesday and have not had much time to stamp.  Today, however, I took time to get some stamps inky for a card.  I used the Awesomely Artistic and A Dozen Thoughts stamp sets for this card.  I have neglected So Safron lately and I love how it looks with this Mossy Meadow card base.  The lighter green color is Pear Pizzazz.

Simple card designs like this one are pleasing to look at and come together quickly.  You do not have to fill every space of the card with details.  And, although layers can be fun, not many are needed for a simple elegant card.

Tell me what you think.  Do you prefer to create cards that are slow cooked or microwaved?  Or maybe you just like to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) cards that others have made?  I’d love to hear what the creative process looks like for you.
